The FireStick 4K, FireStick 2nd Gen (non-4K), and FireStick Lite are all about the same in terms of how they work. But the difference could be big when it comes to resolution and the way things look.
First, the FireStick 4K supports Ultra HD, which is also called 4K resolution. It also has HDR10 and Dolby Vision, which make pictures with more contrast, richer colors, and sharper details. FireStick 2nd Gen and FireStick Lite, on the other hand, can only stream in Full HD (1080p) quality. You can’t use HDR or Dolby Vision with them.
It seems that FireStick 4K is a much better way to watch TV. There is a catch, though. To get the best resolution out of the device, you need a TV that can handle 4K.
